Biloxi, MS Multi-platinum, Grammy nominated band 3 Doors Down will hold their 5th annual "The Better Life Foundation" Concert and silent auction at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on December 6, 2008, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Additional performers for the concert will be announced at a later date. This evening is sponsored by the Mississippi Army National Guard.

3 Doors Down lead singer Brad Arnold commented on their efforts: "This concert we're doing is just another way for us to try and give back to the area we so dearly love." Doors will open at 5:00 pm with the show starting at 6:00 pm. Prior to the concert, a silent auction will take place from 2:00 - 4:45 pm in the foyer of the Hard Rock Casino & Hotel where one lucky raffle winner will be drawn to win a one of a kind Citizen Soldier Motorcycle built by Roger and Brigitte Bourget!

The mission of The Better Life Foundation is all encompassing, to make positive changes in the lives of children, whether that be food, shelter or medical assistance to name a few. Each and every year the foundation works to raise funds to donate to various organizations and hospitals they believe will help them further this cause.

"To be able to be a part of 'The Better Life Foundation,' is truly a privilege for me," said band member Matt Roberts. "Over the past five years the foundation has been able to touch the lives of many along the Gulf Coast, my life included. I've truly learned what it means to give back to the community that has given so much to us. The annual benefit concert has been a great success and a joy to be a part of. This has simply been because of the people who have come out to support each year and enable us to continue to reach the goal of helping others."

3 Doors Down is widely known as one of the most successful rock bands in modern day history with more than 13 million albums sold (worldwide) and six #1 singles to their credit. Their latest self-titled CD topped the Billboard Top album chart and the coveted iTunes Album chart during its opening week in late May, and has gone on to become one of the most consistent rock bestsellers of 2008. The new album has also snagged rave reviews, with the Associated Press affirming that '3 Doors Down has offered the strongest collection of their career.' The current single "Let Me Be Myself" released this week debuted at #1 on the Hot AC chart.

Since Hurricane Katrina and Gustav hit the Gulf Coast area, The Better Life Foundation has been working locally to assess the individual needs of each community and getting them exactly what they need. The 2007 Better Life Foundation was a huge success raising over $200,000 to benefit children's charities along the Gulf Coast area.
General Admission tickets will go on sale September 27th at all TicketMaster locations and the Biloxi Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Box Office. General admission tickets can be purchased for $75.00.
